I am Bonnies cousin…i have read alot about this case…it could be a drug cover up…but i think phil came back earlier than he had said he was going to…and i think the friend Nancy blabbed Nikkis plans…because they are the ones that found her…i think her son went to bed and she was stunned and shot elsewhere ..and put into place til morning….because for Nancy to not go to the funeral….seems like a sign..that she is feeling guilty about something., and for her to blurt out suicide…seems..odd…to jump to those conclusions….i think it is a case of jealous huband…it sounds like it is a made up story…by phil about the gun…so he would have.a reason to say…why she had the gun….there is no way that you could be shot from the right side of the head,,,and your head fall to the right,,it would fall to the left…and it seems that cops dont like to be…WRONG…someone decided it to be suicide,,,because it sounds as if everyone involved had there own lives full of lies….to bother to…do there JOB….my heart goes out to you Bonnie….this is all more than any mother should have to live threw…i remember seeing nikki as a little girl at family reunions……it is alll so very sad..where is phil now…is he with this nancy?.

Miss Bonnie, I am so very sorry about Nikki. I was looking up another case from the Coast and clicked a link that took me to her story. Once I saw her photo I realized I had known her. God bless you and your family and friends. I think I might try to ask some of my friends “in higher places” if they can help. Just the name “Burge” threw up a red flag to me. Your heart must be breaking every single day. I am so, so damn sorry!

I happened upon this information while researching another event on the Coast and realized after seeing the photos that I knew Nikki almost 10 years before… I am just sick! Nikki had moved to MS quite recently when I knew her, as we were both transplants from up North. She moved here with another guy though.. this was like 1993 that I met her. She was a dealer and so was he; they were both young and very sweet. Mike? Was that his name? I was working at a dealership in 1993 and they were friends of a friend and came in and bought a new Nissan from me in Gulfport. They had a maroon Rodeo. Yes- we all partied like crazy people back then. That’s what we did in those days with pockets full of money and lots of friends. Oh Nikki! I am truly sorry, honey! If only I had known… a few years earlier I had settled down and returned to college and lost touch. I do know some people on the Coast who have run afoul of the crooked law (and are lawyers and whatnot). Can’t help but think maybe they could help or at least offer advisement after being rolled under the buss by peers. Y’all know what I mean. Pustay. I consider PC home as it was the first place I lived after moving to the Coast. Ironically, I had a beach condo with a balcony, but was living in Ocean Springs at the time of the murder and was busy with kids and my own education in 2002. That must be how this slipped my radar. I am so unbelievably sad right now. Much love, sweet Nikki.

Jimmy helped find her that apartment. Jimmy had been helping her with bills too and Lacey stated that if it wasn’t for Jimmy she didn’t know what she would of done. Jimmy was the one who persuaded her to get an apartment. Justice and Bridgeview are next door to one another. Jimmy lived minutes from her. A lot of secretive things were occurring between the both of them. When she would come into the restaurant after she was fired she would sit by the register and talk to Jimmy for long periods of time and it was always quietly. She came in days before she was killed and Jimmy had stated he hadn’t talked with her anytime recently. The police need to question Jimmy and Rosa.
